Mr. Brown has been active in the state-wide Texas District and County Attorney Association, serving as a regional director of the organization and member of the board of directors from 2004 until 2008, and as Secretary/Treasurer in 2009-2010. He has chaired the state prosecutors’ association’s Publications Committee and served on the organization’s Finance Committee for several years. He is a member of the North Texas Crime Commission, an advocacy group dedicated to support of law enforcement in the region and the promotion of pro law enforcement legislative agenda.

“I have great respect for Joe Brown and the way he runs his office. He has put together an excellent group of prosecutors and staff that are very highly thought of in law enforcement circles. His office works very well with prosecutors in other counties. We have based what we do in our office to a large degree on how he does things in his office. When we need something, he delivers. Grayson County is well served.”
– Richard Glaser, District Attorney, Fannin County

“Joe Brown is well respected among prosecutors throughout the state, a reputation that is based both on the quality of his office and through his service with the state prosecutors’ association. I have served with him on the North Texas Crime Commission, and I know he cares deeply about law and order. In addition, when Rockwall County recently began strategically planning to create our own Children’s Advocacy Center, Joe Brown was one of the first people I called for advice. He is a man of great integrity, and the citizens of Grayson County are fortunate that he is their elected District Attorney.”
– Kenda Culpepper, District Attorney, Rockwall County

“As a former district judge in Dallas for 14 years, and now as a District Attorney for two terms, I have seen a lot of prosecutors’ offices. Joe Brown runs a very good office. The position of District Attorney is very difficult. It requires someone of the right temperament and sound judgment. Joe Brown has those qualities, and that is why he has been successful.”
– Janice Warder, District Attorney, Cooke County
